Student of the Month/Year
at Niwot High School
The Student of the Month Award is a project of the Niwot
Rotary Club to recognize outstanding students. It was
started in February of 2009. Students receive a
mounted certificate and a plaque with all recipients on
display at the high school.

Victor Nugyen |
Victor
is a senior at Niwot High School.He is active
in Key Club, and blood drive organization.
His academic interests include majoring in
International Relations or Bio-chemistry and
with an interest in aviation, he is considering
attending the Naval Academy or the U.S. Air
Force Academy. (The latter is, of course, the
smarter choice. ed.--who is a grad.

Yew Hung Yeong is a Sr. at Niwot High
School. He is in the IB program and created
their recent brochure for the program. Born in
Malaysia, his family moved to Australia when he
was 12, and on to the US three years later. This
is his third year at Niwot. He looks toward a
future as a biochemistry major. |

Leah
Saraceni is the President of the Student Body at
NHS.
She
is a primary organizer of many Student Council
events including: 2009 Homecoming, Jog for Jenny
(that raised over $6,000 for Children’s Miracle
Network), Dodge-ball and Sadie Hawkins dance
(raised over $1,000 for CTO4 Teens), and Prom
2009. She is headed for CU in Arts and Sciences.
Her major is undeclared and from her talk to
Rotary, she already has a good understanding of
potential political aspirations (She doesn't
like them.)

is given her Student-of-the-Month plaque by
Niwot Rotary President Jo Kirkenaer. |

Molly
Server is the May Student of the Month. She was
the main leader of the Empty Bowls Dinner held
on April 23, which raised over $2000 for Heifer
International and hunger relief in Haiti.

is bound for CU Colorado Springs in the fall to
